The Bio-Aromatic Garden of Ourika is also the birthplace of the company Nectarome, which manufactures and markets high quality natural cosmetic products.. For over twenty years, Nectarome’s products were entirely manufactured within the Bio-Aromatic Garden, until the site became too small and the production facility had to be relocated.
A shop offering the Nectarome products has also been set up within the Garden, allowing visitors to discover the various ways the plants many of which are visible right in the garden can be used in cosmetics. The shop features a wide range of products: for the hammam, for bathing, for skin care (body, face, hands, and feet), as well as for nails and hair. It also offers food-grade products. Additionally, various vegetable oils such as argan, sesame, and prickly pear seed oil are extracted on-site at the Garden and sold at this Nectarome retail point.
A distillery is also located within the Garden and operates several times a year to extract some of the rarest and most precious essential oils.
